Proven Results:

• "Diminished Value" Class Action Settlements
• Stephen Hansen has been appointed as class co-counsel in connection with the following cases that have resulted in multi-million dollar settlements concerning insurance pertaining to how vehicles lose value after they have been involved in accidents, even if the vehicle is properly repaired (also known as "diminished value"). Plaintiffs alleged that the Defendants had not properly addressed or paid diminished value for claims made under the Uninsured or Underinsured property damage coverage sections of their automobile policies:
  • Busani v. USAA Insurance. A nationwide class action settlement. Defendants agreed to pay $4.09 million to class members, less attorneys fees and costs.
  • Laughlin v. Allstate Insurance. A nationwide class action settlement. Defendants agreed to make up to $23 million available to class members, less attorneys fees and costs, to those class members who timely filed a valid claim.
  • Rose v. Nationwide Insurance. A nationwide class action settlement. Defendants agreed to make up to $35.7 million available to class members, less attorneys fees and costs, to those class members who timely filed a valid claim.
